My name is Steve Cushman, a writer and healthcare worker.   I received an MA from Hollins University and an MFA from UNC-Greensboro and have worked as an X-ray technologist for the last 20 years.  I’ve published two novels, Portisville and Heart With Joy, the short story collection, Fracture City, and the poetry chapbook, Hospital Work.  In this blog, I will explore the connection between poetry and medicine, the two worlds I live in.
